Salt hat-trick not enough as Carcroft prevail

CARCROFT Village moved into the top half of the Doncaster Senior League Premier Division following their 4-3 victory over Bramley Sunnyside.

Joe Fisher, Shaun Mundy, Anthony Corner and Kieran Bridges shared out their goals with Tom Salt bagging all three Sunnyside consolation goals.

A brace of goals each from Rob Brown and Lee Winterman helped Hatfield Main triumph 6-3 at Bawtry Town.

Craig Miller and Nick Davies also chipped in with goals. Jack Burton, Lee Garner and Simon Minshall were the Town marksmen.

Station Athletic had to settle for a consolation brace by Kieran Clark in their 5-2 home defeat against Kinsley Boys, for whom Joseph Howey (2), Joel Edwards, Leam James and Jack Willis netted.

South Elmsall United Services dominated their home derby with South Kirkby Colliery and emerged 5-0 winners, Lance Walsh (2), Ryan Till, Ryan Hardy and Steven Nutter did the damage.

Goals by Andrew Walsh and Michael Horbury gave Hemsworth Town a 2-0 home success over Edlington Town.

Having beaten them the previous week in the KO Cup, Scawthorpe and Bentley Rhinos accounted for Ackworth United 3-1 in their Division One clash thanks to goals by Dean Daffin, Daniel Porteous and Alex Rennie. Pablo Garcia Ochoa was the United marksman.

Spoils were shared (2-2) when Dunscroft United hosted Sun FC,

Carl Grant and Kieran Sanderson claimed the United goals with Shane Carver responding with a brace.

Premier Division leaders Rossington Main progressed in the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Association Challenge Cup with a 4-1 victory over Sheffield Reserves in their round tie.

Nathan Frazer struck twice for Main with Sean Nicholls and Scott Spencer doubling the tally.

There was a 5-1 success for Shafton Village over Grange Moor in the fourth round of Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Junior Challenge Cup.

Steve Bennett, Adam Fretwell, Chris Glover, Ben Pearson and James Thompson were the Villa marksmen.
