Luke on song for Windmill

DONCASTER Sunday Alliance League Division Two leaders Windmill moved four points clear at the top after beating Glad Old Boys 4-2.

Luke Rafferty bagged a brace for the winners with Kyle Palmer and Bodor Ferenc both chipping in with goals. Lee Hosketh and Craig Wilmot were the Boys’ marksmen.

Edlington Top Club, who have two games in hand, climbed into second spot after posting a 6-2 win at lowly Skellow Rangers. Chris Colley led the way with a four-goal haul and there was a goal apiece for both Aidan Ford and Lee Hayes. Craig Brody and Sam Corner were the Rangers’ marksmen.

Brodsworth United dropped to fifth after going down by the odd goal in nine at home to Armthorpe Albion, who climbed above them.

Carl Roberts, Dan Hulley, Dan Milnes and Ryan Soar shared out the United goals with Terry Cook (2), Gary Smith, Craig Wren and Stephen Bell replying for Albion.

Balby Academy of Sport, for whom Mick Barker and Keiron Ferguson netted, stay top of Division Three on goal difference thanks to a 2-1 win at Ingram Arms (Sam Simpson).

Second-placed Leger Lions cut the goal difference to 10 goals following their 5-1 win over Tank. Danny Brayshaw (2), Ryan Wattam (2) and Ben Swain all hit the target.

Maltings climbed to third on the back of a 1-0 win over bottom club Hatfield Chace. David Faulding earned Waggies a 1-1 draw at home to Armthorpe Village.

Division Four leaders Catholic Club continue to set the pace at the top of Division Four when recording their eighth successive win (1-0 at The Glasshouse).

Campsall dropped two places to fourth as a result of their 4-2 defeat at Yorkshire Grey. Bessacarr remain in touch with the top after scoring seven without reply at lowly Balby Rovers.

The Vault, who have played two games more, closed to within three points of Division Five leaders Willaspoons - not in league action - after handing out a 4-1 beating to The Askern. Daniel Heaton hit a double with Robert Burton and Ryan Swift also chipping in.

Third-placed Walton Wanderers put lowly Ivanhoe to the sword (8-2). Scot Maughan grabbed four of the goals with William Walton, Eric McMillan (2) and Vladic Mitrofansiv completing the scoring.

Rob Adcock, Calum Coburn and James Russell were on target as Rossington Poacher had to settle for a 3-3 draw at Barnby Dun All Stars.
