Scawthorpe Scorpions lifted the Under 11s League Cup after a hard fought 1-0 win over Balby Academy of Sport Blue.

Bailey May-avill scored the only goal of the game as his first half effort squeezed past the goalkeeper.

Balby came closest to equalising late on when George Harrison found himself through on goal but his effort hit the post.

Elsewhere, the Under 17s cup final was also won by one goal as Doncaster Rovers Foundation prevailed over South Kirkby Knights.

Bradley Poteray scored the only goal of the game as the league champions completed the double against the side that finished second.

Stainforth Juniors lifted the Under 13s cup after coming from 1-0 down at half time against Barnby Dun Rovers to win 2-1 in last month’s final.

Dunscroft Welfare and Moorends Hornets and Stingers face off in this Sunday’s Under 12s final.

The Under 14s final between Harworth Colliery and Scawthorpe Scorpions also takes place this Sunday.
