The defender missed Saturday’s win over Gillingham after suffering a calf strain in the clash at Northampton Town.

And boss Darren Moore says he will leave it until late in the day to decide whether to include Wright against Swindon.

“Joe is doing really good but he’s really touch-and-go for Tuesday,” Moore said.

“I’m going to see how he is on Tuesday and a decision will be made an hour or two before kick-off.”

Meanwhile, midfielder Madger Gomes will not return to action until the New Year as he recovers from a thigh strain.

Gomes had returned to action in the FA Cup tie at Carlisle United but broke down, with Moore now reluctant to rush his comeback.

He said: “At the moment, dependent on his recovery at this stage we anticipate that he’s going to be at least another couple of weeks before he’s considered back again.

“He’s got to build himself back up again and he is doing so at the moment.

“What we can’t do is allow him to rush it as he did before. I think we’ve all learned from it.

“It’s up on his thigh. He may have just kicked through a ball and just felt it again.

“What we don’t want to happen is it develop into a tear or anything like that.

“It’s a niggling injury. There’s a bit of blood in the muscle that we’ve just got to get rid of and once we do we’ll be a lot happier.”
