West Bromwich Albion loanee Tulloch was withdrawn after just 13 minutes at The Valley while James was taken off with 13 minutes remaining.

Boss Darren Moore would not be drawn on a prediction of the severity of either injury and insisted the pair would be examined after the weekend.

But Moore did suggest he opted for the cautious approach in substituting Tulloch early.

“It’s too early for me to assess them,” he said. “I’ll have to have a look and see it over the next 24 to 48 hours to find out the extent of the injuries.

“We lost Rayhaan early and then Reece late in the game.

“Hopefully, caution-wise, certainly with Rayhaan we took him off.

“When it settles down and calms down and he’s had some ice on it, then we’ll be able to say the extent.

“My physio always gives 24 to 48 hours before looking into an injury so we’ve got to allow that before we get further professional advice.

“And then with Reece, we’re not certain yet with the extent of his injury.”

Moore said he was unsure how the injuries had been caused.

“There’s a harder, astro surface around the pitch and I saw a couple of players go over it and then limp back onto the pitch,” he added.

“We don’t know. There are many variations why an injury might have been caused but all we know is that injuries have been sustained.”
