The latest from Darren Moore on the transfer window including hints on how many players he would like to sign

Darren Moore remained tight-lipped on exactly how many players he is looking to add to his Doncaster Rovers squad before Friday’s transfer deadline but did suggest he wants more than one new addition.

Rovers have so far added only striker Devante Cole to the squad during the January window and Moore says he is keen to bolster his squad before the window closes.

“Yes please, that would be nice,” the Rovers boss said in response to a question on if he would like to sign more than one player.

“If we can bring more than one in, add some depth to the squad, if it’s possible to do so then we’ll do it.

“We’ve been working from before the transfer window, during the transfer window and we’ll continue to work to try to bring a few more bodies in.

“It’s about just trying to get a bit more depth to the squad.”

Moore himself will step up his recruitment drive again following Rovers’ win over Southend United on Tuesday night.

“My focus was on the performance and the team so we’ll get back to it on Wednesday,” he said.

“Wednesday gives us another opportunity to see on one or two other areas where we may strengthen.

“If it is possible for us to do so, then we will do so.

“Wednesday gives us the opportunity to work again.

“Whether they come in or not, we’ll wait and see.”
