Jason Lokilo's half time substitution explained by Doncaster Rovers boss

Jason Lokilo was withdrawn from Doncaster Rovers’ win over Bristol Rovers for fatigue reasons according to boss Darren Moore.

The winger did not emerge for the second half on Saturday and was replaced by James Coppinger, who produced an excellent performance after the break.

And Moore says he took off Lokilo as a precautionary measure to prevent more serious injury for the Belgian.

“Jason came off just more with fatigue,” Moore said.

“He’s had a good start, he had a good game last week and a really tough week of training.

“We pulled him off with more of a precaution as he’d started to tighten up.

“We pulled him off, Copps came on and did superbly.”

Tom Anderson suffered a bloodied nose during the game but Moore does not expect any lasting consequences for the centre half.

“Tom’s got another bloody nose but he’s fine and well,” the Rovers boss said.
