The on-loan Wolverhampton Wanderers striker spent six weeks sidelined with a hamstring injury and has made two substitute appearances since his return.

Manager Darren Moore says the 20-year-old is now ready to start matches again after proving his fitness.

“He's trained and he’s another one that has got some good volume in his legs over the last few days,” Moore said.

Club captain Coppinger is delighted to see Ennis return to the side and believes he will add something fresh to the team.

“I think Niall offers a different energy.,” Coppinger said. “He's very energetic, very enthusiastic, he wants to do well.

"He's strong and he can give you the unexpected - hence his goal at the start of the season.

"He's someone that can turn something from nothing.

“It’s great to see him back and out on the training pitch.

“It’ll be nice to see him get a run of games.”
