The 21-year-old has been with the club for more than a month after his deadline day loan move from Crystal Palace.

And he says he has felt a significant difference from life in the capital.

“I really like it here - even if it’s a bit colder than London,” he said with a grin.

Lokilo admits he has not sampled much of the delights of Doncaster other than the weather but has been helped to settle in by Madger Gomes in particular.

“I’ve not really looked around - I just stay at home and play FIFA,” he said.

“Madger is my neighbour and he helps me a lot. We’re always together

“The boys have been great to me.”

The Belgian winger is enjoying his time at Rovers - which could be extended beyond this season with Darren Moore certainly interested in the player whose contract at Palace will expire in the summer.

And Lokilo has been thankful for the welcome given to him by his new teammates and coaches.

“It’s been very good,” he said.

Ben Whiteman has been good.

“I learn a lot off Copps in training. He’s tricky and I like that.

“I watch everyone and try to get little bits from everyone.

“I think we’ve got a good coach that likes to work with young players, Jamie [Smith, assistant manager] as well.

“I think all the coaches are very good. I just want to listen to them and do what they want me to do.

“I always want to score, give assists and be productive for the team. I’m happy.

“I love it here.”

Moore has been pleased with the contribution of the winger so far.

“I’m glad people got a chance to see Jason and what sort of player he is,” the Rovers boss said.

“He’s a positive player that plays on the front foot, he can isolate people in one v one situations and he can take people on.

“Not only that he’s got wonderful quality on the ball so we’re delighted to have him here.”
