Ipswich Town's Covid-19 scare ahead of Doncaster Rovers trip

Town striker Kayden Jackson was told to stay away from training on Friday after demonstrating symptoms of the virus. The 26-year-old missed the 2-0 win over Accrington Stanley on Saturday.

The squad and staff were tested on Monday morning as a precaution and are expected to receive their results in advance of their trip to the Keepmoat on Tuesday.

EFL guidelines state that any person who tests positive must self-isolate for ten days.

Crewe Alexandra have twice been forced to postpone their clash with Oxford United due to Covid-19 reasons.

Defender Omar Beckles tested positive for coronavirus, which saw the postponement of the first game just 30 minutes before kick-off.

Crewe boss David Artell said the club felt they had no choice but to postpone the rearranged fixture due to the EFL guidelines despite having no positive cases or individuals displaying symptoms.
