Doncaster Rovers goalkeeper Ian Lawlor will miss at least two weeks of action due to a shoulder injury.

Lawlor suffered damage to his shoulder during Rovers’ defeat to Leicester City U21s in the Leasing.com Trophy.

And as the club’s medical staff continue to wait for the initial swelling to reduce before making a full diagnosis, boss Darren Moore concedes he will not be able to call upon the Irish keeper until next month.

“We think it could be a couple of weeks,” Moore said.

“It could be longer but the physio wants to allow it to settle down before making a detailed assessment of the date and time when he comes back.

“I would say it will be a minimum of a couple of weeks.”

Moore admits he is unsure whether it is the same shoulder which Lawlor injured last season and missed the second half of the campaign.
