The veteran missed Tuesday’s trip to Peterborough United due to illness but has trained with the squad ahead of this weekend.

“Copps was okay on Tuesday but he felt he could not give 100 per cent due to feeling a bit run down,” boss Andy Butler said.

“He is fine and he’ll be involved with the squad. He trained and he trained really well.”

Goalkeeper Ellery Balcombe was back in training after a recent back issue.

Brad Halliday continues to be absent with a back injury while four players will continue to miss out as they self-isolate.

Butler revealed the player who has contracted Covid-19 and the trio who are isolating due to close contact with that individual will be permitted to return to training from Wednesday next week.

He said: “They’ll be back in on Wednesday before they can be involved.

“We wish them all well.”
