Moore has been Rovers manager for five months and feels he has implemented his preferred style of play, which he says has brought ‘okay’ results.

“Looking at the team, I’m happy because what we set out to do I’m seeing a lot of that out on the pitch,” he said.

“One of those things we set out to do was to bring an attacking flair and style of play.

“Have we ticked that box? Yes. Do we want it to get better? Yes. Are we trying to make it better? Yes we are.

“I keep saying that I’m happy but not completely satisfied because there is still work to go along.

“Looking at performances and results, they’ve been okay but you want them to be better.

“You work together as a group harder and consistently to see improvement and we’ve been doing that. I see them day in and day out at the training ground.

“They’re a great group that inspire me with the way they work. I love their honesty and the way they work hard together and the camaraderie they have together.

“While ever you’ve got those ingredients well keep striding forward.

“I’m happy to a certain extent but we must improve.”

Moore admits he is most pleased by the progress at the club off the pitch, with the changes made to the coaching structure and backroom staff throughout the footballing arm.

He said: “For me here, there is clear succession planning.

“There is more of a DNA and what we’re about. We know what we are but we need to get better at what we are.

“That is what we’re striving to do.

“We knew going along the way, when you calculate from the start of the season to where we are now, there has been some incredible work gone on in here. Work has gone on night and day to get it there.

“We feel there is a structure here now and now it’s about getting that absolutely crystal clear and right. We’re trying to do that.”
