However, there was disappointment for Armthorpe Welfare who lost 3-1 at home to Brigg Town.

Emley had claimed 13 points out of a possible 15 ahead of welcoming Rossington to the Fantastic Media Welfare Ground but twice needed to come from behind to earn a hard fought point.

Jack Watson put Main ahead midway through the first half before goals from Aiden Savory and Dominic Riordan turned the game on its head.

Jason Stokes scored either side of the break for spirited Rossington but Samuel Pashley struck another leveller for the hosts.

Former Doncaster Rovers midfielder Josh Meade, returning to action following a year out with an ACL injury, featured as a second half substitute for Rossington.

Rossington will hope to end a three-game sequence without a win at home to point-less Glasshoughton Welfare on Tuesday night.

Armthorpe were unable to build on their midweek win at Selby Town as they went down to unbeaten Brigg.

Adam Lee briefly cancelled out Jack Bowskin’s opener but Town went on to win it with goals from Bowskin and James Osborne.
