Darren Moore has refused to single out any individuals for blame for Doncaster Rovers’ recent vulnerability to attacks down their right flank.

Both goals in the 2-2 draw at AFC Wimbledon came from crosses from the oppositions’ left, as did those in the 2-1 defeat at Plymouth Argyle a week earlier.

Different players were involved for Rovers over the four goals and regardless, Moore says the team should take collective responsibility for errors that lead to conceding.

And he will pour over footage as he looks to end the vulnerability.

“It’s getting tighter and better, more concentration, getting more on the radar,” Moore said.

“Stopping and denying crosses coming into the box, switching it or stopping it at source.

“It’s not just the right side because I look at it as when we score goals we do so as a team and when we concede goals we do so as a team.

“It’s not just one individual or a certain area - everyone has got to share the blame and the responsibility for it.

“That’s what we do here. We’re disappointed with it but we’ll look at that.

“Whenever you look at those goals there’s always something to be done about it.

“And the only way you do anything about it is analyse it and try to fix it.

“We’ll have a look at it from a learning perspective that if situations like that do happen over the remainder of the season, that we don’t fall to them.”

Joe Wright started at right back for the second consecutive game but was withdrawn at half time for Brad Halliday.

Moore said: “Joe had a booking and it looked like they were targeting that side so I thought why take the risk? Let’s keep more players on the pitch.

“We had a ready-made right back in Brad and I thought when he got on the pitch he gave us more impetus and kept them penned in for long periods.

“The big suckerpunch is that the one or two attacks Wimbledon did manage to have, they’ve got up the pitch and ended up scoring from one.”
