Doncaster Rovers and Barnsley have announced a special reciprocal ticket offer ahead of the clubs’ first derby meeting next month.
Ryan Murrant, Rovers’ marketing and communications manager, said: “The reciprocal deal means that our adult fans will save up to £5 on their match tickets.
“I don’t know of many other local derbies where the prices would actually come down so fair play to both clubs for making this great decision.”
The price reduction also aligns with the Football Supporters Federation’s ‘national weekend of action’ which will see Premier League clubs asked to lower fan prices for visiting fans.
Rovers host the Tykes on October 3 and travel to Oakwell on February 20.
Ticket prices for both matches will be as follows: adults £20, senior £14, 17-21 £10, under 16 £5, under 12 £1.
