DEAN Saunders must decide whether to stick or twist for tonight’s crucial clash with the Lions.
Rovers face four games in the next 11 days, starting with this evening’s six-pointer against fellow strugglers Millwall.
Saunders has had the luxury of naming of a fairly consistent side in recent weeks but might be tempted to freshen up his starting eleven after Saturday’s drab display against Derby.
Rovers’ boss admitted after the 2-1 defeat that his side deserved to lose against the Rams.
He also accused his players of “switching off mentally” and taking their eye off the ball after perceived tougher games against West Ham and Reading.
Shelton Martis is unlikely to feature tonight after hobbling off against Derby with problems in his calf and hamstring. Sam Hird will deputise.
John Oster comes into contention for a start in midfield after impressing as a second half substitute and Saunders may also consider utilising the fresh legs of out-of-favour forward James Hayter.
Victory for Rovers would move them to within three points of the Lions and with a game in hand.
