Former Doncaster Rovers boss Sean O’Driscoll is following Brendan Rodgers out of Liverpool, according to reports.
O’Driscoll has reportedly been told his services are no longer required at Anfield.
Liverpool are expected to unveil Jurgen Klopp as their new manager on Friday.
O’Driscoll left his job as England Under 19s boss to become assistant manager at Liverpool just three months ago.
He was sacked by Doncaster in September 2011 after a five-year stay that saw the club win the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy and gain promotion to the Championship for the first time in more than 50 years.
O’Driscoll is currently a 25/1 shot for the vacant Rovers job.
