WEST Ham United will be the first visitors to the Keepmoat Stadium - after Doncaster start the new Championship campaign at Brighton & Hove Albion’s brand new Falmer Stadium.
Newly-appointed Sam Allardyce will bring his Hammers team - including new £3million signing Kevin Nolan - to the Keepmoat Stadium on Saturday, August 13.
Rovers last played West Ham back in 1958 when Peter Doherty’s side lost 2-1 at home to the East Londoners in the old Division Two.
Before that Rovers must make the long trip to Brighton on August 6 to face the Seagulls in the first competitive game at their superb new 22,000 venue.
Ironically, Doncaster were the last team to play at Albion’s Goldstone Ground in 1997 before the south coast side spent more than a decade at various temporary homes.
Rovers face their first local derby of the season on October 15 when Leeds United visit the Keepmoat, a month before their trip to Oakwell to play Barnsley on November 19.
They will end the campaign on home soil against Ipswich Town.
