Delighted Rovers boss Paul Dickov saluted his on-song side as they stormed to their biggest win of the season.

Resurgent Rovers hit sorry Crawley for five goals to move within three points of the top six, leaving Dickov as proud as punch.

“That’s probably the most perfect team performance I’ve had since I’ve been here,” praised Dickov.

“I thought everybody tonight was outstanding start to finish.

“We had to get a response tonight after Saturday’s defeat.

“We’ve set standards since December time and we fell below them at the weekend, but they’ve got right back up there again tonight.

“We’ve got to take a lot of positives from that performance, but take them on to Saturday as well.

“We knew it was going to be really difficult, but it was just a really, really good team performance.

“Even before the sending off some of the passing and movement, and the chances we created, were fantastic.

“All the goals we scored were great.

“People might look at Crawley’s position in the league, but this was always going to be a difficult fixture for us,” Dickov added.

“We’ve got another tough game on Saturday, but our away form has been excellent this season. Long may it continue.

“We’ve got two tough home games coming up, so hopefully we can build on this performance.”
