DONCASTER Rovers' clash with Reading has been postponed due to a frozen pitch.
Rovers had been confident the game would go ahead but a Saturday morning pitch inspection ruled that the Keepmoat Stadium surface was unplayable.
A double layer of covers had been on the pitch all week but freezing overnight temperatures left parts of the pitch too dangerous for play, according to the match official.
The problems were at the South Stand end of the pitch - a section which gets very little sunlight.
Rovers’ youth team clash with Burton Albion, scheduled for this morning, also fell victim to the big freeze.
