Doncaster Rovers’ FA Cup third round replay at Bristol City has taken on extra significance after the potential fourth round tie against Premier League opposition was chosen for live television coverage.
Next Tuesday’s replay will be worth £211,500 to the winning team in prize and television money alone after the BBC selected Doncaster Rovers or Bristol City against Everton or West Ham United.
Each club selected for television coverage receives £144,000.
The prize money for winners at the third round stage is £67,500.
The tie, which will be shown live on BBC One, will take place on Sunday, January 25 (2pm).
Doncaster Rovers appeared live on the BBC in 2010 when they beat Sheffield United 2-0 at the Keepmoat Stadium.
