Aaron Taylor-Sinclair says the best is yet to come from him.
The 24-year-old Scot has quietly gone about his business since arriving on a free transfer from Wigan Athletic.
But after settling into his new surroundings, Taylor-Sinclair is now aiming to push on - and also get further forward from left back.
“There’s more to come,” he said.
“After basically having a year out of football it’s taken me a bit longer to get up to speed.
“After this barrage of games has passed and we head into next month I’ll be really looking to kick on.
“Modern day full backs have to do their work offensively and defensively, so I’m looking to get forward a bit more.
“Myself and Cedric [Evina] get along well on and off the pitch so I think that’s helped me settle in.
“But, like I said, I think there’s a lot more to come.”
He added: “I played one game last season, and this month I’ve played six so far.
“That’s what we’re dealing with though, and I’m enjoying it. I can’t wait for the Fleetwood game.
“It’d be nice to get that first win and get that monkey off our back.
“There’s no better place to do it than at home so that’s what we’re looking to do.”
Taylor-Sinclair filled in at centre back in midweek after Rob Jones went off but is expected to return to his preferred position today.
He said: “It’s a position I’m not really used to but coming off the back of last season, when I didn’t play many games, if the gaffer asks you to play somewhere you’re going to say ‘yes’.
“I enjoyed it but I think I prefer left back!”
