Joe Wright will not feature for Doncaster Rovers as they face Grant McCann’s former side Peterborough United at London Road this afternoon.
The centre half is absent from the matchday squad with Tom Anderson partnering Andy Butler, who returns after sitting out Tuesday’s Carabao Cup clash with Blackpool.
Wright has started every game this season for Rovers prior to today.
McCann had suggested two players were injury doubts heading into today’s game against a Peterborough United side that have won all five of their League One matches so far this term.
Butler’s recall is one of six changes from Tuesday’s defeat to Blackpool.
Also returning to the side are Herbie Kane, Mallik Wilks, John Marquis, James Coppinger and Marko Marosi, who has completed his one match suspension.
Dropping out with Wright are Ian Lawlor, Jermaine Anderson, Matty Blair, Alfie May and Paul Taylor.
Anderson is ineligible due to the terms of his loan from Peterborough while the other four players have dropped to the bench.
