DONCASTER Rovers have teamed up with the Doncaster & District Junior Sunday Football League to offer thousands of young footballers cut price tickets for next month’s visit of Championship leaders Southampton.

Rovers have offered youngsters the chance to attend the Keepmoat Stadium fixture on Saturday, December 3, for just £2.

The special deal extends to every single team playing in Doncaster’s popular Sunday League, which has almost 300 sides competing in age groups ranging from under sevens to under 17s.

Rovers hope the offer will help to strengthen the link between the club and youth football in the area - while the initiative could boost the attendance by more than 3,000 when the high-flying Saints march into town next month.

Every side registered with the league will be able to bring their entire team to the game, with child tickets available for just £2 and up to two adult tickets per team available for £15.

Additional tickets priced £20 (adults) and £5 (children) are also available to every junior football club.

Southampton have taken the Championship by storm since winning promotion from League One last season and Nigel Adkins’ side are currently five points clear at the top of the table.
