DONCASTER Rovers have completed the signing of midfielder Lee Fowler from Fleetwood Town for an undisclosed fee.
Rovers boss Dean Saunders is said to have been a long time admirer of the 29-year-old who he previously managed at Wrexham and has attempted to bring him to the Keepmoat in the past.
Fowler was unhappy when Saunders left Wrexham for Rovers and handed in a transfer request which led to his move to Fleetwood.
He hoped to reunite with Saunders sooner but has finally completed a deal until the end of the season.
The Welshman will be eligible for selection for Saturday’s clash with Colchester United subject to Football League ratification.
Fowler started his career at Coventry City before a three year stint with Huddersfield Town.
Since leaving the Terriers in 2006 he has spent his time in non league football with the likes of Scarborough, Forest Green and Kettering.
He joined Fleetwood last January and was a regular in the run to promotion to the Football League.
Fowler will wear the number 21 shirt during his time with Rovers.
