Rovers have received another injury blow with Harry Forrester ruled out for two months with ankle ligament damage.
Forrester suffered a jarring knock during the draw with Southend United on Wednesday night and did not travel to Port Vale on Saturday.
And boss Paul Dickov revealed afterwards that Forrester would be out of action for a while.
"Harry unfortunately is going to be out for six to eight weeks," Dickov said.
"Initially after the game the other night it looked as if it wasn't too bad.
"But when he got assessed over the following couple of days
"We can't scan it at the minute because the swelling has ballooned up but it looks as though he's got ankle ligament damage."
The news comes a week after Nathan Tyson was ruled out for a similar period while Rovers still await the returns of Paul Keegan and Dany N'Guessan.
Keegan and N'Guessan both carried out on-field running on Saturday morning.
