Grant McCann is hoping for an away tie at Premier League giants Liverpool in the third round of the FA Cup.
Doncaster Rovers secured their place in the next stage of the competition with a comfortable 2-0 win over Charlton Athletic.
While pleased first and foremost to reap the rewards of a place in the third round, McCann revealed family connections are driving his hopes for Monday night’s draw.
“Liverpool away or something like that would be great,” McCann said.
“All my family are Liverpool fans but we’ll see when the draw comes up.
“I’m sure everyone is thinking the same thing.
“It's huge for us to get into the next round.
“It helps the club financially, it helps me in January if I want to strengthen my squad.
“I love the FA Cup, I’ve always said that.
“As a manager in the last few years I’ve done my best to get the club I’m at into the third round.
“This is three years in a row that I’ve done it.
“We're hoping we get rewarded for it.”
Rovers will be ball 63 in Monday evening’s draw.
