John Buckley is putting the bookies’ money where his mouth is - all in the name of charity.
Ladbrokes in Cantley have very generously agreed to support our idea to set up a Free Press Sport Doncaster Rovers charity bet.
So now the pressure is on former Doncaster winger Buckley to turn his predictions into pounds.
Staff at the Everingham Road shop have kindly given Buckley a free £10 bet to place on Rovers every week for the rest of the season.
All the profits will be donated to Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice.
Ladbrokes’ Caroline White, pictured with John, said: “We were delighted to support this initiative and help support a local charity in Bluebell Wood.
“John’s already been getting a bit of stick in the shop about some of his predictions so he’s under ever more pressure now to get it right!”
You can read Bucky’s Rovers Blog, and chart his charity bet progress, every week in the Free Press.
