Paul Dickov admits he has considered putting in a request for Rovers to wear their away kit at the Keepmoat in a bid to improve home form.
Six of Rovers’ seven wins in the league this term have come on their travels.
And Dickov says after exploring several options to end the home hoodoo, he may be forced into drastic measures.
“I was actually saying to the players I’m going to check if we can wear the blue kit at home,” he said with a smile. “It’s really frustrating for us all. I’ve said to the players that there’s no rhyme or reason sometimes.
“But the only way you can stop people talking about it is by going out and winning the game.
“We’re desperate to do it and we’ve taken a lot of heart from the Swindon win.”
Dickov revealed he has tried making slight alterations to training in order to spark an upsurge in results at home, without at success.
He said: “We have changed it and it hasn’t worked.
“We’ve tries little bits and pieces, nothing major. You try and tweak little things.
“Do you do your team play the day before or two days before?
“We’ve tried everything.
“The only way to do it though is by winning.”
