Ali Crawford has this week resumed training with the Doncaster Rovers first team.
The Scottish midfielder took part in the main sessions on Monday and Tuesday as he continues his recovery from a knee injury which has kept him out since the opening day of the season.
Boss Grant McCann is reluctant to give a timeframe for his return to senior action – but did not rule out the possibility of him being in the squad to face Bradford City this weekend.
“Ali weeded his way in on Monday but on Tuesday he looked very sharp,” McCann said.
“Will he be right for the weekend? I'm not sure.
“Maybe he needs one or two reserve games and Tuesday was probably a bit too close for him to play for the U23s.”
