Doncaster Rovers: What sort of team will Darren Moore field in Leasing.com Trophy tie against Leicester City U21?

Darren Moore hinted he is likely to make changes to his Doncaster Rovers side for Wednesday night’s Leasing.com Trophy tie with Leicester City U21.

The game falls in the middle of a seven day period which will see Rovers play three matches.

And for that reason, Moore says he will be forced to assess his options against Leicester with Saturday’s League One clash against MK Dons firmly in mind.

“Ultimately there will be changes because we’ve got to take into consideration this three game period,” Moore said.

“As it is, we’ll look at the shape of the squad and everything else in terms of identifying people going forward so there will be changes.

“Whatever team we select will have to be ready for a tough game and for some of them it will be an opportunity to stake a claim for a place.”

One changes Moore is almost certain to make is a recall for Tom Anderson, whose current three match suspension does not cover the Leasing.com Trophy.

The Rovers boss will also check on Cameron John, who played his first full 90 minutes in more than two months at the weekend.
