Doncaster Rovers: 'A striker is 100 per cent needed' - Fans react to draw with MK Dons

It is fair to say Doncaster Rovers fans were far from impressed with the performance in the 1-1 draw with MK Dons.

Cameron John’s 86th minute strike earned Rovers a share of the spoils against Milton Keynes after a lacklustre showing, which came off the back of two poor performances in exiting both the FA Cup and Leasing.com Trophy.

Top of most supporters’ agenda was the need for a striker to arrive during the transfer window next month.

@JohnLeslieCoyl1: Really poor display. Happy with a point because when they took the lead I could only see one result. We need to do some good business in January or we can kiss top six goodbye.

@LadyZara1986: Striker is 100% needed in January! Very poor performance! Apart from Coppinger & John, no one seemed interested! The injuries have just shown the impact of the summer! Only way is up! Next games gotta be better! Onto the next! #YouReds #DRFC #RTID

Others just bemoaned the poor performance from Rovers.

@VikingWay_: Lack of imagination, lack of movement, lack of ideas, no desire to press the ball and a huge lack of a striker. Very poor today. No strength in depth and the less said about our striking options the better. Lucky we got a point today.

@Matty_Vickers: Awful game, the worst I’ve seen rovers play in a long time and lacked quality in every aspect! I still 100% back Moore but to have such a close knit game against a relegation battling side is a farce. Sort it out, end of.

@DRFC_ITEN: A lacklustre performance today that actually got worse as it went on. Fortunate to get a point. The side is inconsistent, too many key players are either missing or not playing well and it needs a rethink.

Others leapt to the defence of manager Darren Moore.

@daniel_nice7: People are being very critical but after a summer of change and a season with no momentum for various reasons, #drfc have shown plenty of heart so far

@KieranOMalley: Can’t believe there’s actually people who want Moore out

@MattyGarland: Not sure why people are having a go at Darren Moore when clearly there isn’t the quality there to execute his game plans
