The West Bromwich Albion forward has been sidelined since September having suffered a series of setbacks from a hamstring injury picked up in only the second game of his loan. He has since carried out his recovery with his parent club.

Tulloch underwent a precautionary scan last Thursday with medical staff at West Brom assessing the results over the weekend.

Rovers boss Darren Moore is set to speak to staff at the Premier League club on Monday to discover whether the 19-year-old will be released back to resume his loan.

Should Tulloch’s return be delayed further, Moore will consider exercising a break clause in the loan deal and exploring other options during the January transfer window.

The loss of Josh Sims to injury has significantly diminished the attacking options at Moore’s disposal and that is a situation he is keen to rectify this month.
