Doncaster Rovers Saturday League round-up: Rossington Main Reserves consolidate top spot

Rossington Main Reserves consolidated their position at the top of the Doncaster Rovers Saturday League Premier Division with a 3-0 win over second-placed Yorkshire Main.

GCT Doncaster B leapfrogged Yorkshire Main into second spot as they beat Bawtry Town 3-2 to extend their unbeaten run to five games. Sam Kirk bagged a hat trick for in-form GCT, while Jake Rimmer and Michael Jameson netted for Bawtry.

Denaby United moved up to third spot thanks to a 3-2 success at Armthorpe Welfare Development. Brad McFadden scored twice for the hosts but goals from Dean Lucas (pen), Callum Black and Steve Ellor saw Denaby take the spoils.

Askern Miners triumphed 6-1 at Bessacarr with Coby Harvey, Matty Leighton, Scott Dixon, Michael Attard, Alex Irwin and Nathan Redmile all on target.

Epworth Town Colts beat ISG Doncaster 2-1.

Maltby Juniors took their tally to six wins from six games in Division One and remain the only team in the league with a 100 per cent record.

Their latest success was a 5-1 win at Sprotbrough Country Club with goals from Matt Bradley (2), Jack Truman (2) and Ricky Tate.

Hot on their heels are AFC Bentley Development who have the same points tally but have played a game more. Their latest win was a 2-0 victory over third-placed Adwick Park Foresters.

Doncaster Town beat Doncaster Eagles 6-1 thanks to a brace apiece for Chris Marriot and Lewis Collins with Kieran Moore and Jay Kaye also getting on the scoresheet.

South Park Rangers notched their second win of the campaign with a 3-1 success at GCT Doncaster A. Sam Servant Smith, Sam Sykes and Ieuan Clement scored for Rangers, while Daniel Cofield got GCT’s consolation.

Askern Miners Development and Epworth Town Colts Development played out a 2-2 draw.
