Doncaster Rovers open up rewards scheme for fans wishing to donate to the club

Doncaster Rovers have announced a range of opportunities for supporters to donate directly to the club to help them through the financial challenges of the Covid-19 crisis.

Rovers had previously appealed to fans to keep the impact of the current situation in mind when deciding whether or not to claim refunds for tickets purchased for matches that will now not be played.

And after being ‘overwhelmed’ by the generosity of supporters, the club have confirmed donations of between £10 and £100 can now be made - with rewards for fans who do.

The donation opportunities are as follows:

- £10 donation - paint a brick

The club will create an ‘In Rovers Supporters We Trust’ wall at the Keepmoat with red and white bricks that will include names of those who donate

- £25 - ‘Your Pitch’

For this donation, a 50cm x 50cm square of the Keepmoat pitch will be reseeded this summer, with the donor receiving a certificate plus either a DNA Card or Purple Vouchers book.

- £50 donation - ‘Fuelled By Fans’

The donor will have their name on a giant ‘Thank You Doncaster Rovers Supporters’ placard that will be on the team coach for away matches. This will be signed by all players and auctioned off at the end of the season for charity. Donors will also receive a DNA Card or Purple Vouchers book.

- £75 donation - ‘We Are Doncaster’

The donor’s name will be printed on a ‘We Are Doncaster’ message board outside the players’ tunnel. Donors will have their photo taken against the message board with the picture then signed by the first team squad. Donors will also receive a DNA Card or Purple Vouchers book.

- £100 donation

Donors will receive all the rewards listed for lower amounts plus a DNA Card or Purple Vouchers book.

The club will accept gifts of any amount, with rewards applying when the threshold for each item is passed.
