Doncaster Rovers extend Ben Sheaf loan from Arsenal
Doncaster Rovers have extended the loan of Ben Sheaf from Arsenal for the rest of the season.
The 21-year-old has started all but two of Rovers' matches in League One this season, typically operating in the sitting midfield role alongside Ben Whiteman.
He has made 25 appearances in total this term, scoring once.
“I’m extremely happy to be staying until the end of the season,” Sheaf told the club’s official website.
“It’s a fantastic club with great fans, staff and players.
“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed my time here so far and I’m looking forward to a positive second half of the season.”
Sheaf signed on loan in the summer on an initial half season term but has impressed sufficiently to remain with Rovers for the rest of the campaign.
The paperwork on the extension was completed in time for Sheaf to be involved in Rovers' clash with Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night.
