Both players made their comebacks from injury off the bench in Sunday’s FA Cup triumph at Carlisle United.

While admitting he would ideally like to gradually build up their time on the pitch before throwing them into a game from the start, Moore says the packed fixture list, coupled with injury and fatigue for others, may force his hand.

He said: “It all depends. The games are there. We’re on a run of three games in six days.

“It depends on where the squad is at. We’ve got to turn people around and go again.

“You want to build them up, of course you do. But sometimes the games are coming thick and fast and it can depend on injuries or knocks to others and you just have to look at it.

“We’ll monitor it as we go along and we take each game in its own context.

“It was always the intention to give them minutes after the time they’ve had out.

“You want to get them back and keep them back.

“I’m pleased to get them back out there.

“They definitely contributed and gave us something else, another dimension to it.

“It was great for Taylor Richards to get 60-odd minutes for him and obviously Tyreece getting 20 match minutes.

“It’s good for them and good for the club.”

Rovers potentially lost another player to injury on Sunday as Danny Amos was forced off early in the second half.

And Moore revealed he had left Cameron John out of the squad in order to rest him after playing the full 90 minutes in nine of Rovers’ previous 11 matches.

He said: “Cameron was taken out of it because of the games we’ve had. We’ve had a multitude of games and it was another one that has quickly come upon us.

“We’ll assess both and hopefully they’ll be both okay.

“I’m gutted to see Danny come off the pitch. I’m not quite sure what it is at this stage.

“You don’t want to be losing players just as we’re getting some back. We want to keep them together so hopefully it’s nothing too substantial.”
