“I’m still waiting on him,” Moore told the Free Press.

“I’m going to speak with Chats on Monday and see where we’re at.

“We need to see what the prognosis is.

“There was no way that I was going to risk him today with us not quite knowing.

“At this stage, with the games coming thick and fast, I don’t risk anyone.

“I won’t do it because it’s about the long term rather than rushing him back for one game.

“It was the same with Jason Lokilo. He came back into the squad but I didn’t want to risk anything with so many games coming thick and fast.

“We’re into it now.”

Moore is waiting for further news on Rayhaan Tulloch, who is currently recovering from a hamstring injury with parent club West Bromwich Albion.

He said: “He’s had a solid week of training back with West Brom and we’ll get him back.

"It’s good to hear and I think for him now it’s about getting on the pitch and working with the ball.”
