Both men are free agents having rejected fresh terms offered by Rovers but those deals remain on the table at the Keepmoat.

Moore however says his recruitment team are continuing to assess all alternatives and will not hesitate to snap up players for the positions which Sadlier and Blair previously occupied.

“For the goodness of the football club, I have to keep moving,” Moore told the Free Press.

“We keep moving and that is exactly what I will keep doing.

“If someone else should come available and feels right, fits with the purpose for Doncaster and can move the club in the right direction, and agree with what is offered, I’ve got to take that decision.

“We can only do what we have done.

Doncaster Rovers in the current situation that we’re in, we’ve offered the best we can for both players.

“I understand as a manager that both players will want to test the waters elsewhere.

“They know the situation we are in, we know the situation they are in.

“Should those players change their mind, they know where we are.

“But that doesn’t stop me looking at ways to improve the squad.

“We’ve got to keep moving because time is against us.”

Sadlier rejected terms offered by Rovers earlier in the year in order to explore options at Championship level.

It is understood that he has received an approach from at least one second tier club so far this summer but has so far yet to reach an agreement.

Having been offered significantly reduced terms by Rovers, Blair has been assessing the possibility of offers from elsewhere. His commute from his home near Coventry is also thought to be a factor in his decision making.

It has been reported that Cheltenham Town are considering moving for the versatile veteran.
