Doncaster Rovers boss hopeful of positive news on Arsenal loanee
Doncaster Rovers boss Andy Butler is hopeful for positive news on the recovery of Arsenal loanee Tyreece John-Jules - after encouraging posts on social media.
John-Jules has been out of action since mid-January after suffering a hamstring injury in the win at Swindon Town.
Recently, the 20-year-old has posted clips and pictures on social media showing him back on the training ground with his parent club, including the caption ‘Not long left.’
Butler says Rovers physio Jon Chatfield was due to speak to his counterparts at the Gunners this week about the latest on John-Jules’ recovery.
“Obviously he’s put on social media that he’s doing well so fingers crossed that he can come back because he will be an important player for us,” he said.
“It’s be competition for players up front and those in wide areas too.
“It’s added competition which is what we want for this squad.”
The striker scored three goals in 14 appearances for Rovers prior to his injury.
