Moore, while suggesting they may be closing in on a return, would not be drawn on when the duo will be back in training with Rovers, or when they would be ready for selection once again.

“It’s a difficult one,” Moore said. “When they do get back in training, the only way you know is when they reach the highest levels of intensity.

“You can get them back in training but it’s only when they get the high intensity and sustain that.

“When they get back on the grass, you have to judge them on that.

“They are nearing back now but you still have a period when you’ve got to judge them.

“They have to sustain that intensity and have no reaction to it in the days afterwards.

“Only then are they good to go and that’s why I’m reluctant to say anything about getting them back out there.

“Let’s get them back out there and get them going and then we can make a concrete decision on them.

“Until we get to that stage, I won’t be able to give a timeframe.

“It may be a few weeks, it may not be. We’ll take it day by day.”

Moore will monitor the fitness of both Madger Gomes and Taylor Richards ahead of Saturday’s clash with League One leaders Lincoln City.
