Doncaster Rovers v Burton Albion

Andy Butler mixed it up and went 4-4-2 with Omar Bogle and Fejiri Okenabirhie in attack – and a goalless first half offered some encouragement.

But the Brewers got the vital first goal and scored three times inside 20 second half minutes to condemn Rovers to an 11th defeat in 16 games.

FOUR minutes

81min A shot on goal

Taylor Richards looks to place the ball into the bottom corner but Ben Garratt saves

Awful. Rovers 3-0 down and all over the shop.

A deep cross was headed back towards goal, touched out on the line and Hayden Carter fired in from close range.

76min Should be three

James Coppinger gifted the ball to Kane Hemmings 20 yards out. The striker pulled wide and squared into the box for the on-rushing Danny Rowe who fired side with the goal at his mercy.

Tom Hamer drills in a second goal for the visitors.

The Burton full back found space 20 yards out and smashed a shot which Ellery Balcombe could not keep out.

Can’t say it’s not been coming.

Taylor Richards replaces John Bostock

67mins Off the post

Rovers give away possession cheaply, presenting Ryan Edwards with all the space in the world but he cracks a shot off the post. It rebounds out to Kane Hemmings who curls narrowly wide.

Burton look like turning the screw here.

67mins Close to a second

Hayden Carter hooks over the bar from close range for Burton

63mins Almost an own goal

Burton’s Kane Hemmings almost turned into his own goal from a Josh Sims cross.

Rovers are done on the counter with Lucas Akins finishing it off.

A real disappointing one from a Rovers perspective.

A Rovers corner is cleared well up the pitch and Burton win a throw on half way. John Brayford reacted quickest and launched the ball forward for Ryan Edwards to chase.

It looked as though Branden Horton had won the ball back inside his own box, only for Edwards to nip it away again and lay back for Akins who smashed in from just inside the box.

A big blow.

Fejiri Okenabirhie rises to meet a James Coppinger cross but the ball is deflected wide for a corner.

Michael Fondop fires narrowly wide at the near post for Burton.
