Doncaster Alliance League: Tap Maker turn on style to reach League Cup last eight


Premier Division Atletico Tap Maker beat Championship strugglers Carpenters Arms 3-0 to clinch their place in the last eight of the Doncaster Sunday Alliance League Cup.

Double-chasing Graceholme were again thwarted by the weather, with their fourth round tie against high-flying Division Three outfit Winning Post again falling victim to a waterlogged pitch.

Stainforth, for whom Leigh Emmerson netted, missed out on the chance to take over third spot from Tap Maker after being held to 1-1 draw by visiting Bullcroft Sports & Pastimes, whose goal was scored by Joe Fisher.

Auckley strengthened their grip on fourth place in Division One with an impressive 5-1 win at fifth-placed Armthorpe Albion.

Leger Lions climbed above Albion after beating lowly Park Social by the odd goal in nine.

Chris Colley bagged a brace for the home side with Damion Beedle and Mark Whiteley also netting.

Finningley Albion moved level on points with Three Horseshoes after handing them a 3-2 defeat.

Rossington United moved a step nearer the Division One title after dishing out a 6-0 beating to lowly FC Gatehouse.
