Doncaster Alliance League: Scawthorpe seal a 12-0 win as they continue fine form

Scawthorpe Athletic made easy work of Barnby Dun Rovers as they romped to a one-sided 12-0 win in the Premier Division.

AFC Royal, for whom Thomas Noon and Daniel Parker netted, had to work harder for their 2-0 win over visiting Stainforth.

Canal Tavern also won by the same margin at home to Rosehill Press while FC Cumberland and Wheatley Club battled out a high-scoring 5-5 draw.

Bessacarr posted the highest score of the day, beating lowly Sands United 13-1 in one of only two Championship games.

Brad Heaps led the way with a four-goal haul and both Joe Warren and Tom Cochran claimed a hat-trick. A Liam Rogers brace and an own goal completed Besscarr’s tally. Aaron Parrington replied for United.

AFC Balby dished out a 3-1 beating to visiting Bentley West End S&S.

Eden Arms cashed in on their chances when beating Division One visitors Balby Rovers 9-1.

Mati Wychowaniec and Matthew Finney shared out six of the goals with Paul Niles, Bartosz Hasasim and Matty Lamb also chipping in.

Yates won 4-2 at Cantley. Stainforth S4ALL and Carcroft Village Social Club shared six goals.

There were mixed fortunes for Alliance League sides in the second round of the Sheffield and Hallamshire County FA Junior Cup.

AFC Mallard hammered Breakers 10-1 at home whilst Arksey Victoria recorded a 6-0 win over Pitsmoor.

Carcroft Village also made it through to the third round after beating AFC Brecks Sports 6-3.

Ben Clark bagged all the goals as Rossington won 3-0 away at Carlton Athletic.

SFC Wadworth beat visiting Langold Lakeside 6-2.

Finningley Athletic beat Swallownest by the odd goal in three but Social Athletic lost 4-2 on penalties at Gamecock after it had finished 5-5.

Salutation lost 8-1 at home to Denaby United, with FC Ivanhoe going down 5-3 at Thorncliffe Arms.
