Both Rovers and Shrewsbury Town were charged with failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion late in the clash between the two sides last weekend.

Moore does not wish to curb the competitive nature of his players but will warn them against crossing the line.

“I’ll just have a chat with the players over future conduct really,” he said.

“While we want the boys to remain united and stay competitive, there is a line to draw.”

Rovers have until the end of business on Friday to respond to the charge and Moore says he will leave such matters in the hands of club secretary Mary Lally and chief executive Gavin Baldwin.

The incident was sparked by a confrontation between Madger Gomes and Callum Lang last in last weekend’s triumph for the Shrews.

Moore believes the passionate reaction from his team shows they care about the cause.

And he backed Rovers’ good disciplinary record this season.

“We’ve got an excellent one,” he said.

“From what I’m hearing, from where we were last season we’ve come on streaks with the disciplinary side.

“The incident last week we’ll take into consideration the time in the game, the last five minutes of the match, we’re trying to get back into it so tempers can become heated in that situation.

“I want the players to remain focused, determined and together and committed for the football club.”
