But the Rovers boss insists those deals he previously had lined up remain active.

Rovers were awaiting the final confirmation on three or four loan signings last week, with Josef Bursik and Taylor Richards both arriving in the last seven days.

The situation is unchanged with the remaining deals and Moore remains in regular contact with the clubs involved.

“They are currently working and training with their clubs and their clubs need them for working and preparing for the start of the season,” he told the Free Press.

“So we keep working with them. We keep in real close contact with them every two or three days.

“Things can change in a heartbeat so that’s why we stay in contact.

“If things do change, then we know we can seek other potential opportunities out there.

“That’s where we’re at right now and I’m being open and honest about it.

“There’s certain things in place and we just keep in touch with them.”

Moore says he remains hopeful the new additions will arrive in the near future but admits time is running out for them to be involved at Ewood Park at the weekend.

On the potential for someone to arrive in time, Moore said: “At the moment, here now I would say no, but I could get the phonecall.

“It’s Thursday now so we’d have to get them done and signed by tomorrow morning for them to be eligible to play.

“And if they do come in, it’s about what physical state they’re in. We’d have to get the data from their club and make sure they’re up to speed.

“It’s not a quick fix one, it’s over the duration of the season that we’re looking at so there’s all that to take into consideration.”

The Rovers boss says he ideally would have liked to see more players arrive before the first competitive match but insists the work will continue throughout the remainder of the transfer window, which closes on October 16.
