Darren Moore updates on potential incomings at Doncaster Rovers

Rovers are understood to be closing in on the loan signing of a young striker from a Premier League club.

But Moore says he will not be confident over any deal until it is fully finalised.

"We are in an advanced stage with one and it is there," he said.

"It's great to be at that but that final step, you can almost still stay you're at first base.

"Anything can happen over the course of the weekend and things change in football.

"We are in an advanced stage with it and hopefully we can bring some good news on it soon.

"Time will tell on the situation."

Moore says other deals for players are being pursued, if not yet at advanced stages.

He said: "There is always a process ongoing with any deal and there is a process underway with a couple of others.

"The process has started.

"We'll wait and see how those develop."

The Rovers boss hopes to have at least one signing in place by the time his side faces Shrewsbury Town on Tuesday night.

"I'm hopeful and that's all I can say," the Rovers boss said.

"The window is officially open now and we'll see how the next few days and weeks go in terms of where we're at."
