As things stand, all player contracts due to expire this summer will run until June 30, with loan deals agreed until the end of the season.

There will be no competitive football played until April 30 at the earliest, though it appears highly likely that date will be pushed back further as the spread of the virus worsens in Britain.

With the sport’s governing bodies and player unions working on contingency plans for contracts, Moore says he must consider his plans for beyond the end of the campaign to make sure he is prepared for any eventuality.

“These are things that I’ll have to be taking my mind into other areas,” he said.

“Sooner or later, depending on what happens, we’ve got to start looking at that.

“One thing that will be prevalent along the way as we go closer to the summer are things like us having players on loan, players being out on loan from here.”

Moore believes the best way to resolve issues over contracts and loans for this season is for all parties to cooperate and ensure the campaign finishes with as few issues as possible.

“Everyone has got to compromise,” he said.

“We’ve been dealt a situation that we’re all in and it’s impacted on all our lives.

“But we’ve all got to come together and compromise in terms of what we have been given.

“Surely that has to be the way because no one will have seen this coming along the way.

People are asking whether we’ll be fulfilling fixtures, will they be behind closed doors?

“These are the things that we will compromise on and come to an agreement.

“One of the things that we have to agree on is the health of everybody, the safety of everyone first and foremost.

“Everybody is working together and listening to guidelines.

“And when it comes to contracts and loan moves, we’ll have to look at that.”
