Darren Moore responds to suggestion over dip in confidence for Doncaster Rovers
Darren Moore has denied suggestions his Doncaster Rovers side are suffering from confidence issues.
Rovers slumped to a 2-1 defeat at AFC Wimbledon after taking a deserved lead during a commanding first half performance.
The second half showing from Rovers raised concerns, with two goals gifted to the opposition plus a considerable dip in the energy and tempo of attacking play from that produced in the first half.
But Moore pointed to chances created after the break as a sign his side’s confidence levels remain high.
“You see the chances - Kieran Sadlier flashed one across goal, Reece James did, James Coppinger pulled on across goal,” Moore said.
“The impetus was there to get back into the game.”
and it was probably just the final contact on the ball in the final third was lacking.
“Again, you can’t cry over spilt milk and you’ve got to go again next week.
“We get another week to work before we get into a busy Christmas period so we’ll work and look towards next week’s game.
“It’s the next opportunity to put it right.”
